We had our 1st successful twitter rendezvous tonight at the Stadium. Twitter failed miserably for the poetry contest. Most people just don’t get the appeal of this at first. Everyone who showed up tonight AFB, uDaMan, IRS & myself really didn’t get it either. Only now are we starting to see the appeal. Sure it is simply public group chat, but it is a great way to stay in touch. It is getting to the point now where are we starting to watch our cell phone txt limit. uDaMan & IRS are unlimited, but AFB & I have a 1,500 cap before we get billed. Now you can turn notifications on your phone off at any time and use the web based interface or your IM client for FREE, but most of the fun comes when you are mobile.

So just give it a try, give it some time, see what you think. It really can’t be explained so you just have to try it yourself. Don’t be turned off it is nothing geekey. I set it up for several people to make it easier. I even used my Tréo to set it up for uDaMan. Once it is in place there is very little up keep on it.
