The new job is going REALLY well. Whenever anybody asks me about it I give basically the same response: “I don’t work very hard at all anymore, and they are paying me more money”. This prompts the popular reply: “well that is the American dream”.
Another nice perk is that I also got my vacation time paid out from my old job. This allowed me to buy some much needed hardware upgrades. Unfortunately not the new $2k MacBook Pro that I have been wanting, but a few things pictured below. **if you check out the pic in Flickr you will see the details in the notes.
The DVD burner is particularly nice since my old one would only write at 1x and wouldn’t even read DL disks. Now check out how fast I can burn a 4GB porn DVD:
As of yesterday I also finally purchased a Tréo 680 from AT&T. After shopping around quite thoroughly sticking with them just turned out to be the best deal for me. Now yes AFB I will now finally be more focused to support a moBlogging option for you on this site. It also means that I have a SPRINT Tréo 650 available for purchase. As you can see from the picture it is in very good condition and I would have used it myself if I could have switched to SPRINT instead of being forced to stick with AT&T. Fucking cell phone carriers and their crooked ass business practices. Anyway I had the phone checked out and SPRINT will activate it and they have cheaper data plans than AT&T, only $15 per month unlimited. Just email me if you are interested. It will be going up on CraigsList or eBay some time soon but friends & hjays readers will get priority treatment.
Other misc. crap for now, I also used the money to fix up my fish tank which I am now quite proud of. I even made a very wise purchase in getting a legal copy of PathFinder on sale for $20 (reg $35). For all Mac users out there you will never realize how much the Finder lacks until you have tried this application. There is a 30 day trial version available and I highly recommend this product. As for you PC users out there….well fuck off your platform sucks ass anyway.
