I promised to try and distribute my brother & roommate’s snowboard video on the internet. This gave me a great opportunity to create and seed my first torrent. In light of my recent 2nd flagging for illegal downloading via the BitTorent protocol I had extra motivation. At my best conservative estimate I have downloaded probably about half a terabyte of various file over the past 3 years. Unfortunately, I have probably only seeded (shared back) only about a quarter to a third of that at best.

The torrents have given me so much over the past 3 years. Music, Movies, TV-Shows, Books, Pictures, and of course Porn, ohh dear god a lot of Fucking Porn. It is going to be hard if not impossible to give them up completely. I can get high speed internet from another telephone provider at a greater expense, but with my internet will my current provider also take my cable TV? When will it get to the point when I am slapped with a lawsuit?

Regardless of your position on illegal downloading, the torrents are the easiest most efficient way to distribute file. I have offered illegal torrents for download on this blog while lobbying their merits many times. They often get a bad rap because they are associated only with illegal downloading, but there is no denying their effectiveness. I mean come on over 500 GB in 3 years, right now these same people who are black flagging me are trying to figure out a way to profit from this.
