This sounded vaguely familiar and prompted a Wikipedia search that returned this result:

An informal test for determining if a woman needs to wear a bra. A pencil is placed in the fold beneath the breast and chest. If the pencil does not fall, the woman has “failed the pencil test” and needs to wear a bra.

That was defiantly what I was thinking of, but probably not what
The Acacia Strain was trying to say in the songs lyrics:

7. Passing the Pencil Test
She woke up this morning with a bad hangover.
Tonight she will be going to bed without her insides.
Never cross me.
This just in; this is the scene of a crime.
Murder victims rarely play their own defense.
So you have no chance at winning that.
If I can’t hear you scream, then no one can.
Because I’m right here and my hearing is perfect.
I’ll say hello to your family in court.
And nothing can stop me.
And no on can save you.
I’ll turn your world upside down.
There is a reason for my actions.
There is a reason I raise my voice.
This isn’t going to be long term.
I’ll fuck you, kill you, and leave you.

So needless to say I am very confused about the title of this song. Based on the lyrics of the song it just sounds like another death metal song about raping and killing. On the other hand could The Acacia Strain simply be saying that women with small breasts will be used up and tossed away? Left alone to feel dead inside and abused simply because of the fact that their tits weren’t up to par? Anyway here is the link to the song so have a listen for yourself and let me know what you think.

Technorati Tags:
yellowblog, The Acacia Strain, Music

So I came across this song today by The Acacia Strain named Passing the Pencil Test.
