Firefox Bookmarking Add-On

The February 2007 issue of MacWorld had a very interesting article entitled Decode the Web. This article offers many useful tips to use the internet more efficiently. As usual I knew about quite a few of them, but they always slip in something new and useful which is why I have been a subscriber since 1999.

There was a sidebar in the article Use Bookmarks Anywhere which cover methods of internet bookmarking (del.icio.us of course) and application to sync bookmarks. The one that caught my eye was the Firefox Add-On Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer. I installed in and had it set up within minutes. Not only will this sync my bookmarks over multiple copies of Firefox, but it will also act as an automatic backup of my bookmarks. Also by logging onto foxmarks.com I can access my bookmarks from anywhere.

For more tips I recommend picking up the February issue of MacWorld. It doesn’t matter if you are a Mac or PC user. Like my favorite tip above most of these hints don’t only apply to Mac users.
