I am uploading it to the Casey folder (*our shared WebDAV folder). It should be done within a half an hour after you receive this email (634 MB total). This is the format that I am converting everything to for Boxee. It also plays on iPhones/The Web & lot of other stuff. Not sure if it plays on our DVD players like other Divx .avi files. Maybe it will play over your network on the TiVo, that would be cool & similar to how I use it via Boxee. The quality setting I use makes about 350 MB per 1 hr of video. I find this to be a good size/quality compromise.
Let me know how this works out for you. I am actually watching most of the movies you give me this way so the full 4.2 GB is kind of a waist for me. I end up converting it anyway with Handbreak. Maybe in the future you could just do this to the movies and give me 4 per disk or just give them to me on a thumb drive for me to archive. This would save a little money on all the damn disks. Also at which point is it stupid to pay $20 for a 100pk of DVD-Rs. roughly (4.2 GB per disk) that gives you only 420 GB of disposable storage. When you can get a 1 TB Hard Drive of much more reliable versatile storage for $80?
