I am going to keep this brief. I go back and fourth between Firefox and Safari on my Mac all the time. The majority of the time I am using Firefox due to the plugins that I depend on. This includes Delicious Bookmarks and Adblock Plus. Safari has always been much faster than Firefox, but not having these features has been a deal breaker for me.

Now I have found Safari enhancements that have me using it almost exclusively.

ClickToFlash This is a bonus because I couldn’t find anything equivalent on Firefox. This does exactly what the title suggest. Pages load so much faster when you don’t have to load all that fucking useless Flash.

Safari AdBlocker I just installed this yesterday. Oh fucking finally!! If you are NOT using ad blocking you are a fool. Try browsing for porn without it, then turn it on. See the fucking difference!!

Now there is no Safari replacement for the Delicious Bookmars plugin. This isn’t a big deal because I just added the “Bookmark on Delicious” bookmarklet on Safari’s bookmark bar along with a link to my del.icio.us. Their web UI is good enough and I am not missing the Firefox buttons at all.
